- The label surface is white in color, and it can be printed using inkjet printers that support CD/DVD printing.

CDs, DVDs or other optical discs which have an inkjet-printable label can be printed using an inkjet printer. However, the printer also needs to be able to print on a CD/DVD disc label.

The “Photo Grade” disc comes with a label surface that supports inkjet printers, and excels in the basic capabilities in label printing. Its overall printing performance is unparalleled by other conventional disc products that support inkjet printing.

Our “Photo Grade” disc product not only boasts a safe quality (in recording and playback) as a “made in Japan” product, but also allows the label surface to be printed with a high picture quality almost comparable to photos. A strongly-recommended product that caters to different purposes and a wide variety of users.

- The disc label surface is coated with a newly-developed, special coating, which fixes only the ink dye on the surface to achieve vivid prints with a high color saturation level of 116% or higher (see Note 1) and also little bleeding.
- The smoothness of the label surface is enhanced, and the level of glossiness, which surpasses that of conventional products by at least seven times (see Note 1), both contribute to a brighter and more attractive printed image.

Note 1: When compared to JVC’s conventional disc labels.

- The special coating on the disc label surface dries only the ink dye and fixes it in place quickly, and has achieved a high level of water-resistance that is at least 40 times that of conventional products (see Note 1).
- Bleeding is also minimized when water droplets fall onto the surface after printing.
- Not only so, the coating also significantly reduces color fading due to storage under high humidity (see Note 2).

Note 1: When compared to JVC’s conventional inkjet-printable products.
Note 2: An example of storage is to store CDs, DVDs, and other optical discs away from direct sunlight and at a place that is not subject to dust as far as possible. The appropriate temperature and humidity should range between 15°C to 25°C and 40% to 60% respectively.
