Clear functions for safe DIY
The Truvo digital detector from Bosch indicates the presence of ferrous, non-ferrous metals and electrical cables.
The Truvo detector from Bosch can detect ferrous metals at depths of up to 7 cm and non-ferrous metals at depths of up to 6 cm. It can detect live cables at depths of up to 5 cm in walls or ceilings. It features three small LED lights that use a straightforward traffic light system to indicate whether drilling is advisable at the desired location or not: A green light means that nothing has been detected, a yellow light means that drilling is not advisable, and a red light means that drilling should not be carried out. This clearly shows even inexperienced DIY enthusiasts where they can and cannot drill at a glance. In addition to the red light, the Truvo detector from Bosch emits audible signals: Its varying sound and LED light provide useful information when detecting potentially hazardous areas – the detector emits different sounds depending on the object, indicating metal with a continuous audible signal and a continuously lit LED and indicating electrical current with an intermittent tone and a flashing LED.
