Bosch has given its laser measure a level of functionality which is unrivalled in the DIY market. One of its features is the 2.4" colour touch screen, placing its full functionality at your fingertips. The tilt sensor is another highlight of the PLR 50 C. This feature is used for tasks such as determining inclines like those of banisters on a staircase. The sensor displays tilt angles between 0 and 360º to an accuracy of within 0.2º. This makes the tool an inclinometer as well as a digital spirit level – one that can be used on both axes (right/left and front/rear). The spirit level is easy to align thanks to the target graphic displayed on the screen. The practical positioning plate on the base of the laser measure can be folded out by 90º or 180º, meaning the tool can be placed on edges and even measure from corners. In continuous measurement mode, the PLR 50 C continuously updates the current distance between its reference edge and the surface its laser beam is pointed at. It also displays the shortest and longest distances recorded while measuring.

Thanks to its practical range of features, the tool can also add and subtract measurements from each other as required. The measured and calculated values are automatically saved by the laser measure, but they can also be quickly transferred to the free PLR measure&go app from Bosch, which you can use to edit them. For example, these figures can be entered into a sketch and taken along to the DIY store on a smartphone or tablet. They can also be e-mailed directly to your decorator as a PDF, so that he knows exactly how much material to bring with him.
