CRU’s new DataPort & Data Express SAS/SATA Enclosures gives you High Capacity AND High Performance Storage in a relatively Small Desktop or Desk-side enclosure. Choose from the popular DataPort 10, Data Express DX115 or DE110 removable drive enclosures. Key Advantages
-Speed: SAS and SATA both provide max transfer rates up to 3Gb/s.
-Cooling: Drives can overheat, so cooling has always been a key element in DataPort design. New DataPort SAS/SATA Enclosures feature a low-noise cooling fan assigned to every removable drive, while a large exhaust fan in the rear improves enclosure ventilation.
-Easy Cabling Options: All four drives connect to the host via a single 1 meter, InfiniBand Multilane 4x SAS/SATA shielded bundled cable with thumbscrew interlocks. CRU sells external host cables separately because host connections vary. Cable connector options include Mini SAS or InfiniBand on the host end. SAS Dual-Port functionality requires (2) external 4x Multilane cables (one for each host). If your host does not already have an available connector, CRU offers Host Adapter kits which include a 4x SATA to SFF-8470 (InfiniBand) PCI Host Adapter bracket and (4) internal SATA Data cables. Performance Notes With SAS you get enhanced scalability and performance. SAS features point-to-point architecture and multi-lane, or wide connections, so a 4x connector provides up to 24Gb/s aggregate, bi-directional throughput.
