It can be powered by either of the following methods:
a) Supplied DC adapter
b) 4 x AAA batteries (not provided)

The unique fold-up design protects the speakers and makes it easy to carry around. The Vibe-Dock uses a standard 3.5 mm cable, meaning it can be used with all MP3 players and any other device with a standard 3.5 mm headphone or speaker socket. It can also power most MP3 players via the charge port.
