The INTELLINET NETWORK SOLUTIONS Gigabit SATA NAS 3 TB addresses the growing needs for additional high-speed storage in the SOHO and small/medium-sized business environments.

Storage
With the Gigabit SATA NAS 3 TB, you can install two SATA hard drives up to 1.5 Terabyte each for extremely fast access to data storage on your network. If additional space is needed, you can connect an external USB HDD, providing an additional Terabyte of storage space. With the convenient power-saving design, the SATA NAS will put the HDD to sleep if it is not needed — saving more than 80 percent of its power.

Speed
With a Gigabit network connection, the SATA NAS 3 TB provides ultra-fast data throughput, making it the perfect network storage unit for smaller work groups.

RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks)
The Gigabit SATA NAS 3 TB supports RAID 0 and RAID 1 configurations: RAID 0 (striped disks) distributes data across both hard drives and improves speed and capacity — however, if one hard drive fails, the data is lost; RAID 1 (mirrored disks) is a backup solution using both hard drives to store the same information — if one hard drive fails, the information is not lost.

Streaming
The SATA NAS 3 TB will allow you to stream videos and photos through your media player in your home entertainment center. It will also stream MP3 files to your media player via iTunes and download files via the BitTorrent network to the NAS without your PC being turned on.
