Navigation system
The Yakumo alpha Navigator is a full navigation system that fits into any car: just place the Yakumo PDA alpha into the included car mount, launch the navigation and go. You can even do this absolutely wireless.
As soon as you have entered your destination, the Yakumo alpha Navigator calculates the itinerary according to the selected criteria and will direct you by means of acoustic signals to this destination - with up to house-number resolution. If you miss the pre-defined route, the alpha Navigator will automatically re-calculate a new itinerary. Thanks to the latest GPS technology, positioning and routing is very accurate. The digital map material used meets the highest GPS standards and is also being used in panel-mounted navigation systems. To give you a better orientation, the most important route segments are displayed in schematic maps/crossings with arrow icons. And there is an optimised display for navigating during the day or at night.
The Yakumo alpha Navigator features an intuitive destination search function and allows you to enter the destination by street, town or point of interest. The considerable number of points of interest of the renowned Marco Polo quality includes hotels, restaurants, tourist attractions, petrol stations, parking places, railway stations and more. A very handy feature is the destination search via the MS Outlook address book of the Yakumo PDA alpha GPS.

Small video games are fun thanks to the 4-way joystick and the integrated speakers. And if you do not want to disturb your neighbours, simply connect the headphones.
The embedded microphone allows you to record voice notes of any ideas you may suddenly have. And the Yakumo PDA alpha GPS even lets you read e-Books.
Also included in the software package: a Pocket version of MS Word and Excel. These allow you to load and edit the corresponding documents on your Yakumo PDA alpha GPS when travelling.
This PDA also allows you to process E-mails - as soon as you reconnect the Yakumo PDA alpha GPS to your PC or notebook computer again (with Internet access), the mail inbox is synchronized automatically.
The memory capacity can be easily expanded via SD cards. This allows you to load all your music, picture, e-Book, Word or Excel files onto your Yakumo PDA.
