10Gbps, 300-pin, Small Form Factor, Tunable Transponder
While leading the industry with the most complete line of Small Form Factor (SFF) 300 PIN 10Gb/s transponders, Finisar has drawn on its expertise in the design and manufacturing of tunable optical transmission products to offer a compact module that provides nearly 60% reduction in surface area as compared to a larger form factor 300 PIN transponder while maintaining the same high standards of performance.
The SFF tunable transmitter is based on a standard 300 PIN MSA and features full C-and L-band tunability. This module is designed for metro and long haul applications and is available in configurations supporting +/-800 ps/nm or 1600 ps/nm of chromatic dispersion.
These products include the optical transmitter and receiver, laser bias and control circuitry as well as the electrical Mux/DeMux, which is 622/644/669 by 16 electrical single chip devices providing variable rate control for applications ranging from 9.953Gb/s (SONET) to 11.1Gb/s (10GE with FEC).
