Special Product Requirements
The 1000BASE-BX10-D “downstream” connects to the 1000BASE-BX10-U “upstream” transceivers, or to any IEEE-standard 1000BASE-BX10-U “upstream” device. A 1000BASE-BX10-D transceiver must be purchased in conjunction with a 1000BASE-BX10-U product. You cannot connect two 1000BASE-BX10-D transceivers together.
Example:
- GLC-BX-D-AX must be paired with GLC-BX-U-AX
- J9142B-AX must be paired with J9143B-AX

They are pre-configured with an application specific code to meet the requirement set forth by the router and switch OEMs. Axiom compatible transceivers perform, fit and function identically when compared to “Original” Transceivers.
