The routing functionality provides the ability to service multiple virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs) or subnets, enhancing security and performance. Implementing Layer 3 redundancy features such as Virtual Routing Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) and Equal Cost Multi-Path Routing (ECMP) further enhances redundancy in the closet.
