The 8003 chassis increases flexibility for implementing Layer 3 switch routing anywhere in the network.

As a wiring closet solution, the 8003 offers Layer 3 functionality and wire speed performance in a compact form factor. The routing functionality provides the ability to service multiple virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs) or subnets, enhancing security and performance. Implementing Layer 3 redundancy features such as Virtual Routing Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) and Equal Cost Multi-Path Routing (ECMP) further enhances redundancy in the closet.
