Motionflow™ 120Hz technology

Motionflow™ 120Hz technology doubles the number of frames in incoming video content by creating and inserting sixty entirely new frames between the existing sixty frames in real time. In addition to creating new frames, Motionflow™ 120Hz technology also includes an Image Blur Reduction algorithm, which reduces source image blur captured by the camera, as well as a de-juddering circuit to help reduce jerking and stuttering during sweeping pans. The end result is smoother, more fluid motion that delivers a natural and realistic viewing experience.

BRAVIA® Wireless Link module support

You don't have to sacrifice the slim, clean design of the Sony® BRAVIA KLV-40ZX1M LCD Flat Panel Monitor to connect your A/V and other HDMI components. With the BRAVIA Wireless Link module (sold separately) you can wirelessly transmit real-time, HD signals to a receiver (not included) hidden behind the LCD monitor.

x.v.Color™ technology

x.v.Color™ technology takes color expression to new levels. When connected to x.v.Color capable video sources, such as select Sony® camcorders, the BRAVIA® KLV-40ZX1M monitor can display nearly twice as many (1.8x) viewable colors as the existing RGB color standard, resulting in more natural, life-like images.

Dynamic Video Noise Reduction

Dynamic Video Noise Reduction adaptive technology analyzes the motion, sharpness, and brightness of each scene in real time to identify various types of noise and reduce unwanted artifacts without compromising the video signal.

VESA® compatible hole spacing

VESA® compatible hole spacing uses an industry-standard mounting hole pattern that can be used with VESA-compliant mounting brackets, taking the guesswork out of selecting the proper hardware for hanging your HDTV on the wall.

The Wide Color Gamut LED edge light

The Wide Color Gamut LED edge light provides an expansive color palette and more natural color gradation than an edge light using conventional fluorescent bulbs. With a Wide Color Gamut LED edge light, you get brilliant contrast with optimized, more accurate color and blacker blacks, as well as a longer-lasting bulb lifespan than fluorescents.

10-bit processor/10-bit panel

The BRAVIA® KLV-40ZX1M combines a 10-bit processor and 10-bit panel to create and display billions of colors. Using both a 10-bit processor and 10-bit panel allows for 64 times the level of color expression in 8-bit panels, resulting in smoother color transitions and helping to avoid giving the picture a “paint-by-numbers” look.

Advanced Contrast Enhancer circuit (ACE)

Advanced Contrast Enhancer circuit (ACE) uses real-time image processing to dynamically improve contrast, resulting in deep blacks in darker scenes, as well as fine details in shadows and other dark areas of the picture for a difference you can truly see.

24p True Cinema™ capable

24p True Cinema™ mode provides a direct connection to 24p video sources, avoiding conversions and allowing users to enjoy films at their intended 24 fps (frames per second) cinematic picture quality when using a 24p-capable output device, such as a Blu-ray Disc™ player or PlayStation®3 entertainment system.

“Wall hugging” mount (optional)
