SPATZ HDMIRGB will revolutionize the way we transmit HDMI or DVI signals and will solve many integration problems in the professional AV industry. The unit can transmit HDMI or DVI signal over standard RGBHV video multicore as it can be found in many AV installations all over the world. The maximum transmission distance for this technology is determined by the quality of the multicore and the input video resolution. The system requires 5 wires if the receiver is remote powered or 4 wire if the optional RX power supply is used.
With 1080p Video or WUXGA resolution the system will typically work at 100m/330ft with lower res video even longer.
The SPATZ HDMIRGB consists of compact transmitter with 1 HDMI input and a compact receiver unit that is intended to be used at the display location. The HDMI/DVI In/Outputs is a HDMI type connector fully supporting HDMI 1.3 deep color at 2,25 GBits.
RGBHV multicores or bundled RG59 cabling are connected directly with the BNC connectors at the RX and TX unit.
This kind of HDMI/DVI transmission is the perfect answer for existing installations that have the cables buried in ceilings or floors that are difficult to replace for digital video signals. This way there is no easier way to convert the exisitng installations to be fully compatible with HDMI or DVI signals.
If you intend to go on using analog signals along with HDMI/DVI video we recommend our analog to digital converters and scalers like the DIGISCALE or MULTISCALE.
