The unit can transmit HDMI or DVI signal over standard RGBHV video multicore as it can be found in many AV installations all over the world.
The maximum transmission distance for this technology is determined by the quality of the multicore and the input video resolution. The system requires 5 wires if the receiver is remote powered or 4 wire if the optional RX power supply is used.
With 1080p Video or WUXA PC signals the system will typically work at 70m/231ft with lower res video up to 100m/330ft.
The SPATZ DVIRGBPRO consists of a rack mountable 19 inch wide transmitter with 4 HDMI/DVI inputs and a compact receiver unit that is intended to be used at the display location.
The HDMI/DVI In/Outputs are DVI-D type connectors fully supporting HDMI 1.3 deep color at 2,25 GBits.
RGBHV multicores or bundled RG59 cabling are connected directly with the BNC connectors at the RX and TX unit.
This kind of HDMI/DVI transmission is the perfect answer for existing installations that have the cables burried in ceilings or floors that are difficult to replace for digital video signals.
