First, the manual states that the unit should be kept away from direct sunlight and exces- sive heat-not exactly practical for the summer. However, according to an iHome spokesperson, “The unit won’t have heat issues until reaching 240 degrees Fahrenheit, so the likelihood of the unit being affected is minimal.” Another concern is the mic strength. Parties on the other end of my phone calls reported that my voice was distant and sometimes hard to hear. Also, I wish the volume were stronger. Finally, the on-and-oft LED lights on the top are impossible to see in the bright sunlight (although you do hear a beep when the unit comes on). Even with these reservations, I recommend it.
