-High reliability and durability.
-The durability of a PDP is closely related to brightness management. Pioneer has developed a method of influencing the lifetime of the panel. Customers can select from brightness settings including a ‘linear’ brightness mode that when applied can significantly increase panel life.
A number of screen management functions also extend the durability of the displays. These include ‘orbiter mode’ that automatically changes the display position,‘inverse mode’ that reverses the image and ‘full mask’ that turns the entire screen into a single colour.
Each feature can be controlled using a screen management timer. Brightness difference detection and automatic brightness adjustment circuitry further protect the screen by helping to prevent uneven phosphor wear.
-Pure Drive Technology Delivers Stunningly Beautiful Images.
Pioneer’s Pure Drive technology encompasses the entire range of image generation and processing that gives the PDP-43MXE1 its astounding clear, smooth and natural picture.Unlike other PDP systems,Pure Drive maintains all signals in the digital domain, which eliminates loss, reduces distortion,and provides a far greater degree of control.
An important step in this process is ACE II (Advanced Continuos Emission II), which processes the basic colour elements enabling the reproduction of an astonishing
1.07 billion colours and eliminates false contouring within the PDP. Other displays can’t match Pioneer’s smoothness and subtlety of colour or Pioneer’s superb contrast
even in dark scenes.
-Super Clear Drive.
An important innovation is Super CLEAR Drive technology. It processes the basic colour elements enabling the reproduction of an astonishing 1.07 billion colours.
It also virtually eliminates false contouring and improves greyscale by increasing the gradation steps from 1/5000 to 1/32500. A stunning 1024 grey scales can now
be achieved and the overall effect ensures that alternative displays simply cannot match the subtlety of colour and superb contrast – even in dark scenes – offered by Pioneer.
-Pure Colour Filter II.
Pioneer’s innovative Pure Colour Filter II greatly decreases external light reflectivity. The result is significantly higher contrast that provides an extremely clear
display even in light intensive environments. It also reduces the unnecessary frequency components of the red, green and blue signals to deliver improved colour
reproduction and purity. The Pure Colour Filter II enables viewers to enjoy sharp pictures with no reduction in black contrast.
-Brightness / Contrast.
Pioneer Plasma’s are the brightest in the industry and have incredibly high contrast. The panels produce an astounding 1000 candela brightness and 1100:1 contrast ratio on the PDP-50MXE1 and 1100 candelas/1200:1 on the PDP-43MXE1.
-DNR and MPEG Noise Reduction.
DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) reduces background noise when receiving analogue PC and video inputs. MPEG NR is a new feature that reduces picture noise caused by MPEG compression.
-Pure Cinema Mode.
Complete synchronisation of images from PAL, NTSC and 24 frame film sources provide a perfect cinema experience.* Video signals can only be input after installation of an optional video expansion card (eg. Pioneer PDA-5003/4).
-CTI Circuit and 10 bit Digital Chroma Decoder.
The Digital CTI (Colour Transient Improvement) and 10 bit decoder circuits significantly reduce colour noise and make colour edges smoother and sharper.
-IP Conversion.
Interlaced images are converted to progressive to remove jagged edges. This creates a high density video signal resulting in a more natural and crisp image.

Pioneer plasma’s are renowned for their comprehensive functionality and wealth of professional features. These have been carefully designed to enable easy operation, installation and seamless integration into a wide range of business applications.
-Intelligent Auto Setup.
Auto Setup Mode: Allows instant ‘onetouch’ screen synchronisation with a PC. Auto Adjust Mode: Detects the PC signal and automatically adjusts the position of the image on screen.
-Point Zoom
The Enhanced Point Zoom function lets you instantly expand a PC image in three steps (1.5x, 2.0x, 3.0x), great for emphasising key points in presentations. The zoom navigation sub-display area makes it easy to confirm the expanded portion.
-RS-232C Features.
A supplied expansion card provides an RS-232C external control interface and combination terminals to permit operation of the unit from a remote PC or control system.
-Energy Save Modes.
In addition to the standard operating mode the panels offer a choice of four energy save modes:
Power Save: Maintains peak white performance whilst reducing power consumption by around 15 percent.
Intermediate: Reduces power consumption further than power save mode, whilst maintaining strong peak white performance.
Linear Brightness: Reduces the peak intensity of high brightness images, effectively improving screen life and minimising the possibility of image burn.
Auto Brightness Control: A sensor automatically adjusts the brightness mode depending on room lighting.
