The dimensions of the M5.5 have been carefully combined to achieve a fine balance between size, weight and autonomy. A 5.5" screen required a battery up to the task: 3620 mAh. Everything has been integrated perfectly into a device weighing 162 g, with only 8.5 mm thickness.

We live life at full speed and you need a device that´s up to the task at any moment. That´s why we have integrated an optical image stabiliser (OIS) into the rear camera of the M5.5. The OIS corrects the position of the lenses to counterbalance the movement of the camera while the photo is being taken. It enables longer exposures to be taken, even in low light. The resulting pictures will be more luminous, with less noise.

Sharper, more vivid colours.
The Aquaris M5.5 camera includes a Samsung S5K3M2 sensor with ISOcell technology, which enhances the picture quality and reduces the crosstalk effect. The crosstalk phenomenon occurs when light impacts on more than one photoreceptor at the same time. The photoreceptors have been physically separated to reduce crosstalk and to enable colours to be captured with greater fidelity.

The 13 Mpx rear camera is equipped with f/2.0 and dual flash so that you can capture your best moments in spectacular quality, even under poor light conditions. Your selfies will turn out better than ever, thanks to a 5 Mpx front camera with flash, f/2.0 focal aperture and an 85º angle. You get all of this together with the new possibilities offered by BQ´s very own camera app:slow motion, time lapse and much, much more.

Taking panoramic photos has never been so easy: the preview mode shows the status of the image in real time to help you get the perfect shot. And it has never been quicker, because the processing time has been reduced from 40 seconds to less than 1 second.

When taking photos with the front camera, face beauty mode automatically detects faces and modifies their brightness and softness to achieve a uniform and flawless effect.

Balanced light and colours.
The HDR (High Dynamic Range) function improves the processing of colour to obtain greater dynamic range in photos. When activated, you will maintain colour fidelity in variable lighting conditions, such as a landscape at sunset or a backlit shot.

An intelligent screen that adapts to the surrounding environment.
The screen of your Aquaris M5.5 adapts to the ambient light conditions, thanks to Assertive Display technology and the ambient light sensor. The brightness and colour of each pixel automatically adjusts to the ambient light conditions to achieve optimum visibility at all times. The efficiency of this mechanism also reduces the energy consumption of the screen by up to 30%.

One Glass Solution, a technology which eliminates the space between the glass and the screen, resulting in a greater feeling of proximity and sense of reality in what you see with your Aquaris M5.5. The Full HD screen is equipped with Dragontrail protection, a layer of reinforced alkali-aluminosilicate which provides resistance against impacts and scratches. An Atmel® maXTouch® controller chip ensures that it remains touch-sensitive even in damp environments and when wearing gloves.

Enjoy extraordinary audio quality thanks to the combination of the sound box and Dolby Atmos, a 3D sound technology. The sound is processed using special algorithms to create a surround sound effect.
